On International Women's Day we are talking to inspiring women from the PURELEI team. Today Janina gives us an insight into her world full of creativity and passion. She talks about what inspires her every day and why Sisterhood is so valuable. A conversation about lightness, courage and the power of community - let yourself be inspired!
Introduce yourself to us, who are you and what do you do at PURELEI?
I'm Janina and I'm Head of Design at PURELEI, so one of the creative minds. I am allowed to bring PURELEI's vision to life when it comes to creative concepts and designs.
What inspires you most every day?
I believe in the very little things, and especially flowers. I love flowers and nature. Flowers are an absolute inspiration for me. They are something very beautiful and unique.
How would you like to inspire other women?
Above all, I would like to encourage other women to talk about their successes and their failures, to tackle challenges in their careers and to live out all the facets that women have. No woman should hold back, but rather lead the way confidently.
Which woman particularly influenced or inspired you?
I hope everyone calls their moms here. I think these are by far the women who shape and inspire us the most. I can also say that about my mom, who has shown me a lot of willpower, strength and feeling. I would describe my mom with the adjective unwavering strength.
What is your superpower?
Ease, be light, don't take life too hard. I am often told that I have a lot of lightness within me. I don't always see this, but I find it an absolute strength to radiate it to other women. I try to approach everything in a very positive way and that others might feel inspired that they don't always have to be perfect.
What does World Women’s Day mean to you?
I believe that on International Women's Day we women can put a lot of focus on the issue together and raise our voices. It is a day, of course we should not limit it to one day, on which we are heard and we should also use it together and stand up for the things that move us.
What does empowerment mean to you?
For me it means encouraging women to do things, to live their dreams and their visions, but also to support them in tackling this.
What do friendships between women mean to you?
This sisterhood is something very special that every woman should experience. This can happen between friends, with work colleagues, in any room where there is trust or intimacy. A friendship can develop there. If it's real, you'll never want to be without it in your life.
What gives you more strength, courage or community?
For me it is a combination of both, because if we are courageous in a community, we can achieve great things. That's why it's the combination that makes it.
What does Together, We Grow mean to you?
Together, We Grow for me it means when we as women exploit our full potential together and thus allow ourselves to grow together.
How do you define female strength?
For me, that is when we as women live out all the facets that we have within us, that is, softness, determination, being courageous, strength. When we feel in harmony with our thoughts, our bodies and our decisions, then feminine strength is the greatest thing we can have.
