Sparkle Buckle Collection designed by Marina Hoermanseder

The new PURELEI × Marina Hoermanseder jewelry collection is finally here and as always it was great fun working with our good friend Marina and her fantastic team. If you follow Marina on Instagram or perhaps know her from our last collaboration, you know that she is an absolute power woman. Marina is a successful fashion designer, founder, mother, businesswoman and dog mom. Her designs are unique and celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Kylie Jenner, Rihanna and Janet Jackson have worn Marina's spectacular pieces. Her unique signature is the buckles she uses to create her fashion statements. Therefore, there was no question that the jewelry collection must contain buckles.

Our co-founders Alisa and Marina studied at the same university in Hawaii and have been friends ever since. Working with Marina is more than just a collaboration, she has been part of the PURELEI family since day one. That's why we were really looking forward to visiting her in her new studio in Berlin. It is a place full of creative energy, colors and positive vibes. The unparalleled designs and designs for new pieces are everywhere and right in the middle of it all is Marina, happy and smiling as always when we see her, along with her little daughter Lotti and her dog Taco.

Together we looked at the designs she created for the four pieces in the Sparkle Buckle Collection and the colorful mood board where Marina and her team collect their inspiration and ideas for each new fashion piece. There is so much to see that we wish we could have stayed another day.

When we spoke about her inspiration for the Sparkle Buckle Collection, she said: "I want to bring back some sparkle and glamor that has been neglected in recent years. Glitter and gemstones always make me happy." We feel the same way Marina - who doesn't love the glittering reflection of the light on the gemstones.

Also, since this month is all about female empowerment, we had a little conversation about what this term means to you. "My definition of female empowerment is that it doesn't have to be fixed what female empowerment is. For me, every woman is strong in what she does and shows female empowerment. [...] For me it means that we take it for granted that we are strong. That we can be strong together with men, both in the private and professional sense. There should be no competition. For me, a certain certainty that women are strong is much more empowering than that to talk about what you have to do so that women are represented more strongly." We couldn't describe it better and are more than happy to call this great woman part of our PURELEI family.
