Hawaiian Christmas magic

Follow us down the rabbit hole to our Hawaiian Christmas Wonderland. Discover a magical world of pink mountains, cream palm trees and large-leaved flowers the color of sand - all made from paper. We are so in love with our own little paradise!

This December our motto is "Make Christmas Personal", so we wanted to make the new recordings in a setting with personal meaning to us. How did it all start? Since we can't travel to Hawaii at the moment, we wanted Hawaii to come to us. When planning this year's Christmas campaign, our creative team remembered the magical moments of their childhood. Strolling through the city, with all the festively decorated shop windows, fairy lights and beautifully designed decorations that made you want to live in this enchanted winter world - we are sure you can remember that feeling too. These memories sparked an idea in their minds, with Hawaii as the main theme. Sounds like a huge project, right? Luckily we found the talented Carolin Wanitzek, an installation artist from Mannheim.

As soon as we saw some of her previous work, we were impressed by her art and how she brings colorful paper to life in three-dimensional landscapes, plants and animals. We told her about our vision of what our Hawaiian Christmas world looked like in our heads, and Carolin started working her magic. The result is absolutely beautiful and left us speechless.

We hope to keep this small, inspiring world alive for a while, but sooner or later it will have to go and make way for new projects. Our hearts ache just thinking about it. If you were worried about what will happen to all that wonderful paper art after Christmas, of course it won't just go to waste! Our magical Christmas wonderland is 100% recyclable, and the parts that are still usable are donated to a local school or kindergarten.
